a celebration of love

If you’re reading this… will you marry us?

While we reject the authority of the state to legitimize a relationship, we want to reclaim the idea of marriage. We see the wedding as a ceremonial commitment to each other that is rooted in love as a source of connection, growth, and power. We want to share this celebration with the people who have shaped us to be capable of practicing that love and invite you to be part of the future we are promising to each other. We hope that this will be a space to reflect on love in its many forms, and we invite you to bring thoughts, quotes, poetry, and stories about what love means to you.

We also hope to have a big fun party with all of our favorite people!

Thank you to our beautiful family and friends that made this event possible. Without their support, we probably would have just eloped :)

“The longer I live, the more deeply I learn that love — whether we call it friendship or family or romance — is the work of mirroring and magnifying each other's light.” - James Baldwin Nothing Personal
